We were founded in 2024 as a media to write articles closely related to the pharmacy industry and local healthcare policy, especially in the Yokohama area of Japan. In Japan today, the birthrate is declining and the population is aging. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the number of people aged 65 and over in Japan in the 1970s was 7.39 million (7.1%), but by 2050 this figure will increase to 38.41 million (37.7%). In response, there are various discussions on how the infrastructure for medical security in society should be operated. In particular, Japan has a public medical insurance system called the universal health insurance system, but it is now in a situation where a sustainable management method is being sought due to this demographic change.

In this environment of community health care, the functions and functions required of not only clinics but also pharmacies and pharmacists are changing on a daily basis. We believe that the examples of community-focused medical care and policies from Yokohama and other regions in Japan will provide useful wisdom for solving global medical policy issues. We hope to continue to be a media medium that depicts such efforts in Japan and shares wisdom with people around the world who are striving to create systems that protect people's lives.

The article also strives to contribute articles that satisfy the academic interests of prospective pharmacists and aspiring scientists. We believe that learning is as important as acquiring one's own irreplaceable wealth. Recent years in Japan, the disparity is widening and the imbalance in educational opportunities is spreading, resulting in a negative situation such as the fixation of social stratification. It is essential to create a sustainable society in which all people can actively participate. Although what we can do is a small part of the world, we will continue our activities so that we can help realize a better future.
